Overview
This policy explains what stays in your browser, what limited usage data is processed, and the choices available to you. You can use the mixer without an account.
Information We Collect
Local Storage
Custom presets, saved mixes and their names, settings, favorites, focus notes, and session state are stored in your browser using localStorage. The app does not send those values to its analytics events. If you use backup or export, your browser creates a file for you to save; the app does not upload that file.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure page visits and a small allowlist of fixed product events. Event properties are coarse, such as the interface source, a category, or a sound count. They are designed not to include search text, mix names, focus notes, audio, or the contents of local storage. AmbientNoise.io does not set advertising or analytics cookies.
No Account Profile
We do not ask for a name, email address, payment information, or account profile to use the service. Technical request data processed by the host is described below.
Cookies
AmbientNoise.io does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The app uses browser storage for the local features described above; localStorage is not a cookie and is not automatically sent with web requests.
Third-Party Services
Vercel hosts the site, delivers its assets, protects the service, and provides Web Analytics. Like other hosting providers, Vercel may process technical request information such as an IP address, user agent, requested URL, and request time to deliver and secure the service. Vercel's processing is governed by its privacy policy.
Data Security
Generated audio, mixing, and recordings are processed in your browser. Sample-backed sounds are delivered as audio files after a relevant user action; the app does not upload your mix output or captured audio. We limit analytics event fields to the coarse allowlist described above, but no internet service can promise zero security risk.
Children's Privacy
The service is not directed at children and does not ask users to create an account or provide a name, email address, or date of birth. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use and choose a low, comfortable listening level.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes by posting a notice on our site.
