About AmbientNoise.io
AmbientNoise.io is a free, browser-based ambient sound mixer for people who choose steady background sound while sleeping, focusing, reading, or unwinding.
Our Mission
We want useful background-sound tools to be available without a subscription, account, or intrusive ads. AmbientNoise.io provides a flexible mixer and timers without making promises that sound can treat a health condition or guarantee an outcome.
How It Works
AmbientNoise.io combines software-generated sound with compressed recordings. Noise colors and several textures are generated on your device; sample-backed nature and place sounds are fetched from AmbientNoise.io only after you start relevant playback or request an export. Mixing, volume, pan, tone, and recording happen in your browser.

Privacy First
We do not require an account or sell personal data. Sound preferences, mix names, and focus notes are stored locally in your browser. We use cookie-free Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and a small set of fixed product events; those events are designed not to include search text, mix names, notes, audio, or local-storage contents.
